Questions families ask

Semi-private and private lesson questions

What is the difference between semi-private and private swim lessons?

Semi-private is one instructor with two swimmers; private is one instructor with one swimmer. Everything else is the same: a 30-minute lesson at the same weekly time, the same pool at 5100 Satellite Drive, Mississauga, and a custom lesson plan built around each swimmer’s goals. Neither is a big group class.

How much are semi-private swim lessons in Mississauga?

$39.99 + HST per 30-minute lesson at Apex Swimmers. One 11-week season at 1 lesson per week is $439.89 + HST if you continue after your first lesson. You pay $0 when you book and try your first lesson risk-free. No registration fees. No auto-renewal.

How much are private swim lessons in Mississauga?

$64.99 + HST per 30-minute lesson at Apex Swimmers. One 11-week season at 1 lesson per week is $714.89 + HST if you continue after your first lesson. Private times are open on Sundays 12:00 – 3:30 PM and Monday to Thursday 5:30 – 8:00 PM, at any open weekly time.

Can my two kids share a semi-private lesson?

Yes. Semi-private is priced per swimmer. Register in an open weekly time with a sibling, friend or family member, or enroll on your own and we match you with one other swimmer from your age group (toddlers 2–5, kids and teens 6–15, adults 16+). Two swimmers sharing one semi-private time pay the semi-private price each, and the second swimmer’s first lesson is free.

Which is better for a nervous swimmer or an adult beginner?

Both work. In semi-private the instructor teaches only two swimmers, so a nervous swimmer still gets close attention, and adults are never paired with children. Choose private if the swimmer would rather be alone with the instructor, or is working on one specific skill.
