Cost questions

Swimming lesson cost questions, answered

How much is a swimming lesson in Mississauga?

At Apex Swimmers, a 30-minute swimming lesson in Mississauga costs $39.99 + HST semi-private (2 swimmers per instructor) or $64.99 + HST private (1 swimmer per instructor). Lessons run as an 8-week season where you choose 1, 2 or 3 lessons per week, so the smallest season is 1 lesson per week (8 lessons): $319.92 + HST semi-private or $519.92 + HST private. When you book, you pay for your first lesson only.

What do group swimming lessons cost in Mississauga?

As of October 2, 2026, City of Mississauga group lessons work out to about $10 to $11 per 30-minute lesson, paid as a 12-week session. Private swim schools' group classes (4 to 6 swimmers per instructor) are about $32 to $35 per lesson, usually billed monthly, and most add a $40 to $50 registration fee. Prices before HST.

Is there a registration fee?

No registration fees. No auto-renewal. The price per lesson is the whole price, plus 13% HST.

Do I have to pay for the whole season upfront?

No. You pay for your first lesson only ($39.99 + HST today for semi-private, $64.99 + HST for private). Love it? Your 8-week season continues, and the rest is paid 24 hours after your first lesson, by card or in 4 Klarna payments. Don’t like it? Let us know within 24 hours and get a full refund. The 24 hours start once every weekly time you booked has had its first lesson, and a missed first lesson still counts. We text you the exact charge time. For swimmers new to Apex. Swimmers coming back enroll for the season (pay once or in 4 with Klarna) and can use their make-up tokens. Families who paid for the season in full keep their money-back guarantee.

Is it cheaper for siblings or more lessons per week?

Your first weekly time is full price. Every weekly time you add after that, a 2nd lesson per week for the same swimmer, or a sibling, partner or friend joining with their own time, gets its first lesson free. That is $45.19 off per extra time for semi-private, or $73.44 for private, HST included. Two swimmers at 2 lessons per week saves three lessons; three swimmers at 3 lessons per week saves eight ($361.51). Add-on times need 4 or more lessons. Using make-up tokens too? A weekly time gets at most 2 free lessons in total, so a weekly time that already has its first lesson free can use 1 token.

What happens to the cost if we miss a lesson?

Life happens, and we understand. Because your weekly time is reserved for your swimmer all season, a lesson you miss or cancel can't be refunded, but you never lose it. Every weekly time comes with both: up to 3 private 30-minute catch-up sessions to catch it up this season ($29.99 + HST each), and 2 free make-up tokens for your next enrollment. If we ever have to cancel a lesson (no instructor available to cover, or the pool is closed), your season is extended by a week so you still get every lesson you paid for.
